Feedback submitted by members of the community will now be considered by the department.
A summary of feedback will be used to develop an “outcomes of public exhibition" document.
Submissions will be published on the website, in accordance with the department’s privacy policy.
If you have any questions, you can email the project team at towamba.wsp@dpie.nsw.gov.au.
The water sharing plan establishes rules for water management including the limit of the total volume of water that can be extracted from the water sources in the Towamba River water sharing plan area.
Water sharing plans are subject to review every 10 years under the Water Management Act 2000. The current water sharing plan for the Towamba is nearing expiry and a draft replacement plan has been prepared.
The public exhibition period provided opportunities for water users, stakeholders and other interested parties to learn more about proposed changes in the draft plan, and to make submissions and comment on the draft.
The replacement plan is proposed to commence on or before 1 July 2023.
Stakeholders can still:
- Read the draft water sharing plan (PDF, 377.73 KB)
- View a map of the impacted area (PDF, 2414.13 KB)
- Read supporting documentation including background documents, fact sheets, report cards and risk assessment
If you require assistance reading these documents, please contact 1300 081 047 or water.relations@dpie.nsw.gov.au.
