The NSW Government facilitates the delivery of water and sewerage infrastructure in regional NSW through a range of funding programs.
Safe and Secure Water Program
A $1 billion regional infrastructure co-funding program under the NSW Government’s Restart NSW Fund for eligible water and sewerage projects in regional NSW.
Aboriginal Communities Water and Sewerage Program
A joint venture between NSW Government and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council, this program is investing more than $200 million over 25 years to improve water supply and sewerage services in eligible Aboriginal communities.
Water and Waste Water Backlog Program
Part of the Restart NSW fund, this program will improve water quality and sewerage problems in regional towns by clearing a backlog of projects.
Water Security for Regions Program
Part of the Restart NSW fund, this program assisted regional communities to improve water security and prepare for further drought conditions.
Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program
Over nearly 25 years, this program helped regional water utilities provide appropriate, affordable, cost-effective, and well-managed water supply and sewerage services.
Murray to Broken Hill pipeline
A project to construct a new pipeline from the Murray River to secure Broken Hill and communities’ long term water supply.
