Water and sewerage infrastructure programs

The NSW Government facilitates the delivery of water and sewerage infrastructure in regional NSW through a range of funding programs.

    Safe & Secure Water Program

    A $1 billion regional infrastructure co-funding program for eligible water and sewerage projects in regional NSW.

    Emergency relief for regional town water supplies

    Drought support for regional councils.

    Water and Waste Water Backlog Program

    Part of the Restart NSW fund, this program will improve water quality and sewerage problems in regional towns by clearing a backlog of projects.

    Water Security for Regions Program

    Part of the Restart NSW fund, this program assisted regional communities to improve water security and prepare for further drought conditions.

    Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program

    Has helped regional water utilities provide appropriate, affordable, cost-effective, and well-managed water supply and sewerage services for over 25 years.

    Murray to Broken Hill pipeline

    A project to construct a new pipeline from the Murray River to secure Broken Hill and communities’ long term water supply.

    Wilcannia Weir upgrade

    The NSW Government has prepared a scoping study and business case for the upgrade of Wilcannia Weir.
