Local intelligence devices for floodplain harvesting

A local intelligence device (LID) is a combined data logger and telemetry unit. It stores and transmits the water level data and related information to the data acquisition service (DAS). To achieve this, LIDs need to be compatible with the storage meter that is being used.

If you measure your overland flow take using point-of-intake metering equipment, please refer to the list of LIDs for non-urban metering as the meters used for this method will have to be integrated with the metering LIDs.

The department maintains a list of local intelligence devices that have been assessed as meeting the Minister’s specifications.

The product trade names listed here are supplied on the understanding that no preference between equivalent products is intended and that the inclusion of a product name does not imply endorsement by the department over any equivalent product from another manufacturer.
