Claydon Review
In response to the first activation of the new Barwon-Darling ‘resumption of flows’ rule in January 2021, stakeholders asked for an examination of the department’s implementation of the rule, and also the newly implemented individual daily extraction components (IDECs) and active management. The department commissioned an independent review into how well the new rules were implemented and what improvements can be made. Greg Claydon delivered the review in September 2021:

Claydon Review Recommendations Implementation Project
After the Claydon Review was delivered, the department established the Claydon Review Recommendations Implementation Project (the project) to address the 19 key recommendations from the review. The department expects to have implemented most of the 19 key recommendations by mid-2023.
