February-March 2020 public information sessions
The department and WaterNSW held a series of public information sessions in the Hunter and North Coast in February and March 2020. These sessions explained how the NSW Government managed risks during drought, including ensuring water reliability and managing water quality. They included discussions about proposed measures to manage our river systems if dry conditions were to persist. For areas in drought recovery, discussions were around risks to water access during the recent drought and how the NSW government can further support communities through the next drought.
