Information sessions: drought outlook and water availability
The department, together with WaterNSW, held public information sessions via webinar during May and June 2020 for Inland Valleys and the Hunter Valley. The sessions provided an update on the water availability outlook, climatic trends, system flows and storage levels. Lessons learnt from the current drought and the impacts of drought on groundwater were discussed, as well as ongoing support available for communities. Water availability including prospects for allocations for the new water year starting July 1 2020 were also shared. Recordings of the webinars and presentations can be viewed on the links below.
