North Sydney company wins NSW Exporter of the Year Award

North Sydney-based global software design firm Soprano Design is the 2017 Premier’s NSW Exporter of the Year.
NSW Minister for Trade and Industry Niall Blair presented the prestigious award in Sydney to one of Australia’s fastest growing and smartest tech outfits.
“Soprano Design is a fantastic example of how Aussie smarts and hard work can achieve global success,” Mr Blair said.
“Its intelligent software helps mobile network operators and businesses communicate more efficiently between their employees, IT systems and consumers. They now earn more than 75% of their revenue outside of Australia.”
Mr Blair congratulated all 22 award winners who were recognised for their business excellence.
“Exporters bring the ideas, ambition and a can-do attitude that our economy needs to grow. Tonight’s award winners demonstrate these characteristics in spades.
“This Government knows how important our exporters are - that’s why we have staff across the state dedicated to helping these businesses grow or to export for the first time.
“It’s also terrific to see four regional winners amongst the state’s most enterprising export businesses, proving that geography is no barrier to international success.”
The Premier’s NSW Export Awards are led by the Export Council of Australia with support from the NSW Government. The State’s export sector generates more than $81 billion in sales of goods and services to world markets each year.
