Media release | 10 July 2017
The NSW Government's Business Bus is visiting small businesses across NSW to provide specialist advice to business owners looking to become more productive and profitable.
Small business owners in and around Cowra can hop on board the bus tomorrow (11 July) where they can receive independent advice from experienced business advisors.
NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Small Business, John Barilaro, said the recent Budget had secured ongoing funding for face-to-face business advice with a $7.5 million investment in the Business Connect program in 2017/18.
“The Business Connect Program dedicates at least 70 per cent of services to regional NSW and has been integral in helping businesses to plan, adapt to disruption, survive the impact of natural disasters and get connected online, making it easier to start up and grow.
"The Business Bus is part of the Business Connect program which helps to ensure small businesses continue to be the engine room of Australia's best performing economy.
“The Government has also recently announced a new NSW Small Business Strategy which includes a $30 million investment in the Skills for Business Fund.
“The new $30 million Skills for Business program will help small business owners to access subsidised vocational education and training in areas of digital literacy, financial literacy and business management skills.
“It’s all part of the NSW Government’s commitment to making NSW the easiest place in Australia to start, run and grow a small business,” Mr Barilaro said.
