NSW business and investor migration roadshows 2018

The NSW Department of Industry will be leading a roadshows to the ASEAN region in August 2018.

The New South Wales (NSW) migration program is now established to make it even easier for migrants to set up a business or invest and migrate to NSW.

The roadshow will showcase:

  • the NSW migration program
  • promote the many benefits of living in NSW
  • establish and strengthen relationships with key migration agents, fund managers, financial organisations and other local migration stakeholders.

Calls for expressions of interest

Expressions of interest for the ASEAN roadshow are now open.

The roadshows follow the success of roadshow events over the last few years and aims to:

  • increase awareness of the state’s welcoming business environment by showcasing Sydney and NSW to key migration industry stakeholders and business, entrepreneur and investor migrants
  • present the NSW business and investor migration program, including our straightforward process for nominating potential migrants.

The roadshow will offer the migration industry and other influencers the opportunity to collaborate with us by:

  • industry-hosted meetings or events where you can organise and host your event with a departmental representative.

Migration agents and interested stakeholders can either attend a NSW-hosted event or organise an industry-hosted meeting or event with a departmental representative.

How you can participate

Industry-hosted meetings or event

  • A departmental representative will attend and give a presentation on the business and investment opportunities and lifestyle benefits offered by NSW
  • All meetings and/or events will be self-funded by the organiser. Funding is not available from the department
  • Venue and timing is recommended by the organiser and subject to the department's agreement
  • The department will formally notify you if we agree to attend your proposed meeting or event
  • Selection criteria for hosting a meeting or event is available below.

Selection criteria

There are three selection criteria for industry-hosted meetings or events:

Business track record

EOIs from organisations with a strong record of business and investor migration will be considered. EOIs from a consortium of industry representatives will also be accepted. Your EOI should include detail on the type of event or meeting, proposed location, the attendees and the role of the departmental representative.

Demonstrated benefit for the NSW migration program

EOIs should clearly identify how the proposed meetings and/or events will deliver business outcomes for the department's business and investor migration program.


You must have the appropriate licence/permit to conduct any meetings or events.

Submit your expression of interest

EOIs for the ASEAN Migration Roadshow must be submitted by 5.00 pm (AEST) on Friday 22 June 2018.
