Community Notice: Lake Illawarra jetties consultation commences
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment – Crown Lands, is seeking community feedback on priority upgrades to a number of public jetties in Lake Illawarra.
The NSW Government has allocated $1.3 million from its COVID-19 stimulus program to support repairs and upgrade work on Lake IIlawarra jetties so they can be used by the community.
The stimulus funding will see $390,000 allocated this financial year and $910,000 next financial year which will be targeted at priority jetty repairs and upgrades.
The Department is now seeking community input to help determine priority jetty upgrades and identify if all jetty structures are still required by the community.
The information provided by the community will help confirm the preferred option for a program of jetty repair works. These works are expected to commence in mid-2021.
Have your say
The Department will consult with the community in two stages.
Stage One: Online Survey
To provide feedback, please take a short survey. You will be asked several questions and can provide comments.
The survey closes at midnight, January 30, 2021.

These meetings provide an opportunity for the community to talk to experts, learn more about the jetty upgrades and discuss their concerns.
