Community Notice: Lake Illawarra jetties consultation
The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment – Crown Lands, is seeking community feedback on priority upgrades to a number of public jetties in Lake Illawarra.
The NSW Government has allocated $1.3 million from its COVID-19 stimulus program to support repairs and upgrade work on Lake IIlawarra jetties so they can be used by the community.
The stimulus funding will see $390,000 allocated this financial year and $910,000 next financial year which will be targeted at priority jetty repairs and upgrades.
The community feedback will help determine priority jetty upgrades and identify if all jetty structures are still required by the community.
This information will help confirm the preferred option for a program of jetty repair works. These works are expected to commence in mid-2021.

Stage Two: Face-to-face consultation
Consultation via community drop-in sessions were held to provide an opportunity for the community to talk to experts, learn more about the jetty upgrades and discuss their concerns.
- Session 1 was held on Thursday 28th January 2021 between 4pm-6pm at the Kurrajong Hall 2, Dapto Ribbonwood Centre, 93-109 Princes Hwy Dapto.
