Western Sydney Aerotropolis

Western Sydney Airport is a new airport set to open in 2026. The curfew free airport will offer unprecedented access to and from Sydney. Surrounding the airport will be an aerotropolis; a thriving industry landscape in the immediate vicinity of the airport.

The NSW Government has signed two international investment agreements with two of Japan’s biggest multinational companies — Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group to strengthen the development of the Western Sydney Airport 'Aerotropolis'. The combined global networks and expertise is another major step forward in attracting large scale international investment to develop industry precincts around Western Sydney Airport.
