StudyNSW's recent call for proposals for partner projects to benefit international students has generated a large number of submissions from across the State's international education sector.

The submissions covered a wide range of projects from courses to help international students develop business skills to providing a multilingual resource on support services for international students.

Some proposals focussed on addressing issues faced by international students such as access to work-integrated learning and the availability of suitable accommodation.

The submissions came from universities, TAFE institutes, private educational institutions, industry peak bodies, schools, student organisations and consultancies.

StudyNSW had invited education providers and other organisations working with international students to submit proposals for matched Government funding for innovative and strategic projects that benefit international students.

The successful projects will be announced in January 2015.
