Indian IT company chooses Sydney

An Indian IT company, Persistent Systems, a global leader in software product and technology services, has chosen Sydney for its Australian headquarters.

Persistent Systems is expanding its operations in Australia and establishing an office in Sydney to manage its Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia operations and develop new business.

The company focuses on cloud computing, mobility, analytics and collaboration for telecommunications, life sciences, consumer packaged goods, banking and financial services and healthcare for its customers across North America, Europe and Asia.

It partners with large technology brands, leading enterprises and start-ups.

Established in 1990, Persistent Systems has headquarters in Pune, India and in Santa Clara, California with additional offices in India, the US, USA, UK, France, The Netherlands, Canada, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. It currently employs more than 6,750 professionals worldwide.

The NSW Trade & Investment Office in Mumbai and the NSW Department of Trade & Investment worked with Persistent Systems to help the company establish its base in Sydney.

Chairman and Managing Director of Persistent Systems Dr Anand Deshpande said the company was pleased to open its Sydney office to support the needs of its current independent software vendor customers and expanding regional customer base.
