Eco-friendly ventilation company Ventis plans $3 million expansion and 250 extra jobs

28 November 2011

Brookvale-based home ventilation company Ventis will invest $3 million to expand its national operations including the creation of an extra 250 jobs over the next five years.

The company is expecting solid growth in its energy efficient home and building markets.

NSW Trade & Investment is working with the company to help it expand and create more jobs.

Ventis's technology, which was designed in Australia and is assembled in Brookvale, helps make homes healthier and more energy efficient by intelligently introducing filtered air from the roof space to help cool in summer and warm in winter.

The company has created 28 jobs since March 2011 and intends to create 150 jobs here in NSW over the next five years.

Ventis intends to have four offices open in and around greater Sydney during 2012 with planned expansion interstate by 2013 and a goal of 12 offices nationally over five years depending on market demand.

"The NSW 2021 strategic plan includes a goal for 20 per cent of NSW energy consumption to come from renewable sources by 2020," Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Stoner said in his announcement.

"Encouraging energy-efficient companies like Ventis to grow will help expand our clean energy sector and target this goal."
