NSW shines in Australian auto awards
16 May 2011
NSW companies won a swag of awards at the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo in Melbourne last week. The awards were a highlight of the trade expo organised by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA).
Deputy Premier and Minister for Trade and Investment Andrew Stoner congratulated the companies saying their success highlighted the strength of the automotive aftermarket in NSW – it’s a source of superior manufactured products and jobs.
“Innovative design by NSW manufacturers of a range of top quality motorsport and high performance products has seen many of these companies break into international markets.
“The Department of Trade and Investment has worked with many of these NSW manufacturers to help them grow their exports. That support includes participation in major international trade exhibitions and tailored advice from our network of export advisers.
“Australia’s automotive aftermarket exports over $650 million of equipment each year to markets as diverse as North Asia, the United States, the Middle East and Europe.”
The Department of Trade and Investment’s program of international trade missions and exhibitions offers export-ready NSW companies an effective way to identify new international business opportunities and to acquire the knowledge and connections critical to export success.
