A group of NSW ICT companies and organisations is participating in CommunicAsia 2014 in Singapore this week with support from NSW Trade & Investment.

CommunicAsia, the largest ICT trade show in Asia, provides participants that are exporting or planning to export with an opportunity to network, create new business opportunities and help shape industry trends.

Organisers expect more than 51,000 visitors from 100 different countries and regions to attend.

CommunicAsia is an opportunity to highlight NSW's position as the largest ICT and creative industries centre in Australia. The State is the source of about 50 per cent of the national total exports of telecommunications, computer and information services.

NSW Trade & Investment has worked closely with its partners in NSW and Singapore to develop a program to help participants maximise their opportunities to gain market exposure and identify strong leads to achieve sales.

At CommunicAsia, the companies are being supported by a NSW Trade & Investment Export Adviser who is providing on-the-ground advice and mentoring, identifying potential buyers and organising business meetings and a networking event.

NICTA is also taking part in CommunicAsia and will be presenting at the Singapore and Australia Technology Symposium organised by Austrade.

CommunicAsia 2014, Asia's largest integrated ICT tradeshow, is held in conjunction with BroadcastAsia 2014, Asia's leading digital multimedia and entertainment tradeshow.

Key technologies in the trade show are apps and augmented reality; biometrics; big data; business analytics; business and IT solutions; cloud computing and services; collaboration technologies; enterprise applications; enterprise mobility solutions; enterprise networks and technologies; Internet of Things; IP technology; machine to machine; outsourcing services; security; smartcards, software; and 4G.
