New director for NSW business office in Abu Dhabi
12 October 2011
The NSW Government has appointed a new senior business representative to the NSW business office in the Middle East.
Mr Moin Anwar takes up the position of Director, Trade and Investment in the NSW Government Business Office in Abu Dhabi later this month.
He will be working to build local partnerships with government, business and industry associations to enhance awareness of NSW's capabilities and the State's attractiveness as a destination for business, education and tourism.
Infrastructure developments in the Middle East, including about $100 billion worth of rail projects, offer significant opportunities for NSW exporters and will be an area of focus.
Mr Anwar was educated in the United Kingdom and then started his professional career in the UAE working for the Emirates Can Company in Dubai. He has also worked for the Australian Trade Commission in the UAE and the Dubai Export Development Corporation.
