NAISDA is a Registered Training Organisation that delivers Certificate II, III and IV and a Diploma in Careers in Dance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between the ages of 18 and 30 years old. NAISDA is located on the Central Coast of NSW and is Australia’s only national Indigenous dance college.

We provide training to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people between the ages of 18 and 30 in Australian cultural practices, as well mainstream dance techniques and study skills.

Students can obtain Certificate 1, 11, 11 and 1V in Careers in Dance or a Diploma. Modules include studies in Indigenous Australian Culture and Dance, Contemporary Dance, Ballet Technique, Jazz and Tap, and supporting studies such as Drama, Music, Performance and Production Studies, Life Skills for Dancers and Performing Arts communication.

All modules are compulsory and students must successfully complete all modules to receive the award and continue to the next level.

Achieving a Diploma in Dance provides the opportunity for students to experience the demands of professional performance as part of a dance company or Tertiary Dance Placement.
