Danielle is a contemporary Australian Indigenous visual artist whose work not only reflects her connection to her ancestors past, but her living present. Her work is available online at www.danielleburford.com.au and various galleries in both NSW and New York.

As a contemporary Indigenous visual artist, local to the Mid North Coast of NSW, Danielle spent much of her childhood days in the bush and on the banks of the Darling River in the remote region of Bourke.

At school she enjoyed sitting under a large tree whilst her Elders told her stories of the Dream Time as well as going on camps to local areas to learn her ancestors’ way of life.

Her art reflects on everything that is Australian, from animals and trees, to the red dirt and sky, using traditional colours and involving a range of tones to create depth.

Although a Visual Artist, her true love is her Contemporary Indigenous art. In her own words:
“It is the connection I feel through my painting, to a time long past but still strong within myself.”

She is represented by Oasismoon Garllery, Bellingen, Jaaning tree, Nambucca Heads, Dunghutti-Ngaku, Kempsey, Wadjar Art Gallery, Yarrawarra Cultural Centre NSW, Arts Mid North Cost Inc, Coffs Harbour and ICO Gallery in New York.
