The Bogal Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) has a pro-active board elected by its members and has been set up to oversee land acquisition, establish enterprises that promote employment for Aboriginal persons, provide housing for its members and protect the interests of Aboriginal people in the local area, including matters of cultural importance. Board members have undergone relevant governance training to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulatory authorities, and have in place a Community Land and Business Plan to assist in achieving their objectives.
Located at Coraki in northern NSW, Bogal LALC is committed to ensuring a better future for Aboriginal people by developing business opportunities that offer employment and training locally.
We currently have 3 major projects for which business planning and investment funding are underway - aquaculture, bush tucker and wetland tourism.
