NSW Government provides financial support for 16 NSW companies at Fine Food Australia stand
10 September 2013
Sixteen innovative NSW premium food producers showcased their goods to thousands of international and domestic buyers at Australia's biggest food, wine and hospitality trade show, Fine Food Australia, in Sydney from September 9-12.
The NSW Government provided financial support for 16 NSW companies as part of its Flavours of NSW stand at Fine Food Australia.
More than 24,000 people attended the Fine Food Australia trade show, now in its 29th year, including buyers from Australia's major markets and overseas agents looking for new products to import.
The Fine Foods Australia trade show provides an opportunity for world-class NSW producers to increase recognition of their products and brand awareness, launch new product lines, meet existing and new customers and develop key industry contacts.
The Government, which has supported NSW producers to be a part of Fine Food Australia since 2001, provided stand space as part of a co-ordinated campaign to showcase the exciting range of premium products available in NSW.
The NSW stand promoted a wide variety of regional produce including dairy, honey, chocolate, wines, fruit, bread and meat.
Celebrity cook Kim Terakes showcased NSW produce with daily cooking demonstrations on the Flavours of NSW stand, attempting to come up with many exciting recipes using the products from the 16 co-exhibitors.
NSW companies at Fine Food also had the opportunity to pitch their products to a large contingent of international buyers and meet with some of them in a targeted business matching program.
Fine Food Australia exhibitors are predicted to generate an estimated $40 million in export orders over a 12-month period as a result of the show.
