Some of the Hunter's most innovative companies are being showcased this weekend at the 2014 Hunter Innovation Forum, taking place at Newcastle City Hall and NBN Studios, with support from the NSW Government.

The Hunter Innovation Forum is Newcastle's leading innovation event, identified as a key priority in the Hunter Regional Action Plan.

Innovation plays a vital role in regional economies, helping local businesses improve their competitiveness through the development of new, or significantly improved, products, services, systems and processes.

The Hunter region has a strong reputation for its commitment to innovation and the Hunter Innovation Forum further demonstrates the strengths and capabilities of local businesses, research institutes, education providers and other local agencies.

The Forum will have a series of events for industry, experts and the broader community to consider the latest innovation trends and how the Hunter region can best benefit from embracing new ways of thinking.

The Forum is supported by Newcastle Innovation, University of Newcastle, Hunter TAFE, Hunter Valley Research Foundation, AusIndustry, Enterprise Connect and NSW Trade & Investment. RDA Hunter is the major supporter of the event.
