Project to identify infrastructure needs of 33 Northern Inland towns

11 July 2011

A new project will identify the infrastructure and community services needs of 33 Northern Inland towns by comparing them to similarly-sized towns throughout the State.

NSW Trade and Investment is providing $10,000 in matched funding to Regional Development Australia Northern Inland to conduct the project.

The project will build on information gathered through previous physical audits of social and community infrastructure.

The information will then be used to guide cooperative activity across various levels of government, working towards addressing any gaps in infrastructure and community services in the region.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of September 2011 and is being undertaken by the University of New England’s Division of Geography and Planning.
