Best of NSW on show at Fine Food Australia
12 September 2016
A select group of eight of the state’s quality food producers is set to bring NSW flavour to Melbourne’s Fine Food Australia expo this week, presenting their delectable range of goodies to the world on the NSW Department of Industry stand.
Fine Food Australia is expected to attract around 30,000 visitors over four days including hundreds of national and overseas buyers, making it the largest food trade show in the southern hemisphere and a fantastic showcase for our local produce.
This year, participants on the NSW Department of Industry stand will be showcasing Middle Eastern dips, sauces and confectionary from the North Coast, olives from Yass, organic sauces and condiments from Murwillumbah and icecream, cookies, mayonnaise, dressings and spicy marinades from Sydney.
Value added food and agribusiness exports were worth approximately $40.8 billion to Australia in 2015 and quality Australian grown produce is especially sought after overseas.
Last year’s NSW participants at Fine Food in Sydney attracted plenty of interest with leads generating upwards of $1 million for companies on the NSW stand.
Now in its 32nd year, Fine Food Australia is an annual food trade show alternating between Sydney and Melbourne. This year’s show takes place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12-15 September.
