Why India?

India is one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-developing technology markets and an important trading partner for New South Wales.

Building links between the tech ecosystems in NSW and India will help grow and strengthen business partnerships, contribute to economic growth, skills development and job creation. Of particular focus are sectors such as agriculture, cyber security, health, education and financial services.

To facilitate creation of these links, the NSW Government is working with our partners in India to deliver a series of NSW–India technology programs. Over the next two years, these programs will help NSW entrepreneurs connect with the Indian market, share knowledge and assist in forming commercial partnerships in areas where we believe NSW and India share common challenges, or where mutually beneficial opportunities exist.

Based out of Zone Startups India, the one-week program provided an introduction to the Indian market, facilitated meetings and networking sessions with the local ecosystem and potential partners, and provided guidance on taking a business global.
