Information for employers

The Smart, Skilled and Hired Youth Employment Program will assist young people to overcome barriers to employment and gain skills and experience that will improve their long-term job and socio-economic prospects.

Service providers will work closely with local employers to understand what employment opportunities and skills gaps exist, ensuring young people who participate in the program are job ready with the right skills, and will be supported through at least the first six months of their employment.

The program will be open to employers in Western Sydney, the Central Coast and Hunter, New England/North West and the North Coast.
