Smart, Skilled and Hired

The Smart, Skilled and Hired program is a NSW Government initiative that aims to lift young people’s long-term employment prospects, and expand the workforce to help businesses leverage growing demand in two key sectors of the NSW economy - disability and construction.

The program includes three sub-programs:

  1. Barista teaching a worker to make coffee

    Youth employment

    Programs which help young people overcome barriers and get into employment.

    Disability Sector Scale-Up program

    Assisting businesses, workers and local communities to maximise economic opportunities from the NDIS rollout.

  3. Four young construction workers in safety gear with tools

    Infrastructure Skills Legacy program

    Boosting the number of skilled construction workers and creating fresh pathways to employment across NSW.
