NSW Migration Strategy – supporting the NSW economy
NSW runs the Skilled Nominated program in order to attract highly skilled people in a range of occupations to contribute to NSW skills needs. NSW's position as an appealing destination for skilled migrants is confirmed beyond doubt by the significant demand shown for NSW nomination for the Skilled nominated (190) visa.
From February 2015, NSW introduced a new process for the NSW 190 program. This is a selection-based invitation process in which NSW selects and invites the most suitable candidates from SkillSelect to apply for NSW nomination.
Our new process ensures that places allocated under the NSW program are aligned to the skills needs of NSW. Read more information about the selection and invitation process and learn more about our migration program and various visas.
