The NSW Government, with the support of renowned chef and Director of Rockpool Group, Neil Perry AM, as well as a host of talented professionals from across the industry, has launched a NSW hospitality careers campaign to promote careers in hospitality to young people in NSW.

The campaign is entitled "Level Up Careers" and is targeted at young people in NSW between 13 and 17 years of age. It shares the stories of industry professionals and the experiences that have enabled them to level up and progress in their careers to inspire the target market.

The aim of the campaign is to encourage young people to consider and pursue a career in hospitality and to see hospitality as an exciting, fulfilling and rewarding career path.

The campaign is being driven through social media, including Facebook and Buzzfeed. It features videos and a competition to win exciting prizes that will give young people a taste of the industry and an opportunity to have their own "level up" moment.

The NSW Government has also partnered with the tourism and hospitality industry as well as education and training providers, teachers and careers advisers to promote careers, industry, training and employment information relevant to the target market through the "Level Up Careers" Facebook page.

Promoting hospitality careers is a 2014 priority in the NSW Economic Development Framework and aligns with initiatives in the Sydney Tourism Employment Plan and NSW Visitor Economy Industry Action Plan.
