Innovation events for the Hunter and Central Coast

10 May 2013

The Hunter and Central Coast are hosting a range of events in May and June to showcase and encourage innovation across the regions.

The Hunter Innovation Festival and the Central Coast Innovation Festival aim to connect some of the region's leading businesses and promote smarter, more innovative ways of doing business and to celebrate innovation and creativity.

The festivals feature a range of trade shows, seminars, expos and open days to showcase the innovative products, services, equipment, technology, science and engineering innovation produced in the Hunter and Central Coast.

The final event on the festival calendar is the Central Coast Innovation Summit on 13 June 2013.

The summit aims to explore new business ideas and models that capitalise on 'the next wave of innovation'.

The event will host nationally renowned speakers from The Climate Institute, The Tom Farrell Institute and the University of Newcastle and showcase local organisations such as the Central Coast Community Energy Association. It will also be the platform for Innov8Central to report on its progress over the past year on the Central Coast Innovation Plan.

In conjunction with the Central Coast Innovation Summit, the Central Coast NSW Business Chamber will hold a Business Leaders Lunch with David Koch.

NSW Trade & Investment supports these initiatives in partnership with a wide group of regional stakeholders including government, industry and business associations, educational and research organisations, and companies.
