Help for Coffs Coast small businesses to make the most of the Rally Australia leg of the World Rally Championship

19 July 2011

A series of business development workshops and marketing materials will help Coffs Coast and Clarence Valley small businesses and tourism operators to make the most of the influx of visitors for events such as the Rally Australia championship this September.

NSW Trade and Investment is supporting Coffs Harbour City Council to implement a business development package in the lead-up to the event in September, in partnership with other local councils, business chambers and tourism organisations.

Small businesses and tourism operators in the region have the opportunity to benefit from the large number of visitors expected to attend the Rally Australia World Rally Championship event from September 8-11.

The workshops focus on capitalising on events and customer service. Shop-front banners, posters and flags will also be produced to promote local businesses during the event.

Business development assistance will also support these businesses to prepare for any future major events that might be held in the region.

For more information on the business development package and workshops contact Glenn Caldwell at Coffs Harbour City Council on 6648 4835 or glenn.caldwell@chcc.nsw.gov.au.
