Applications close 29 February for NSW's Mobile Government program

Technology consortiums are reminded that applications for the NSW Government's $1 million Collaborative Solutions Mobile Government program close on 29 February 2012.
The Mobile Government program will help technology consortiums develop new mobile solutions to improve public-sector productivity, with the solutions to be piloted by NSW Trade & Investment.
This program will help develop new mobile technology solutions with market and export appeal to improve the effectiveness and productivity of government services, while also helping build the State's digital economy.
Grant applications opened on 17 November 2011 and will close at noon on 29 February 2012.
Interested consortiums are asked to not miss the deadline as late applications will not be considered.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified in March 2012 to present to an evaluation committee with successful grant recipients awarded in April 2012.
The target audience for grants includes mobile application developers, technology providers, service providers, device manufacturers, research organisations, and user organisations within government.
An industry networking and pitching event held on 8 December attracted over 150 people to help facilitate introductions, encourage ideas, and assist the formation of working consortiums for the Mobile Government program.
Mobile Government is the second industry call under the Collaborative Solutions program with the first round focusing on assisting consortiums to develop mobile solutions for the retail and tourism industries.
