North Coast floods April 2017
The recent North Coast floods have affected small businesses in Ballina Shire, Byron Shire, Kyogle, Lismore City, Richmond Valley and Tweed Shire.
Funding is available for small businesses directly damaged from the floods in designated areas within Lismore and Murwillumbah. This relief package is sometimes referred to as Category C funding. The funding is jointly provided by the Commonwealth and NSW Government to assist with clean up and immediate restoration costs as a result of the floods.

The free 'Business funding and recovery' seminars in Lismore and Murwillumbah are for small businesses recovering from the floods. Topics covered will include:
- applying for Catergory C funding
- accessing funding and loans
