Port Kembla Community Investment Fund

Port Kembla NSW

The NSW Government has established the Port Kembla Community Investment Fund (PKCIF) as an ongoing program to fund projects that activate, enhance and build community amenity for Port Kembla. It was launched by Gareth Ward, the Parliamentary Secretary for the Illawarra and South Coast at Port Kembla on 8 March 2016.

The PKCIF program will receive an annual allocation from the NSW Government and is linked to the long term leasing arrangement of Port Kembla. Applications are invited for environmental, public infrastructure and precinct activation projects seeking funding of at least $10,000 up to a maximum of $500,000 (GST exclusive). The PKCIF will be delivered through successive funding rounds with Round 1 open from the 31 March 2016 to the 31 May 2016.

To obtain a PKCIF application form, all potential applicant organisations must:

  • register their interest in PKCIF by contacting the NSW Department of Industry
  • meet with a representative of the department to discuss the eligibility of both their organisation and proposed project.

This initial assessment process is mandatory and not all enquiries about the program will proceed to the application stage.
